We bought Turtle during Covid, in July 2020, for one reason: to take a road trip to see family. She carried us from Iowa to Washington and back — over the mountains, overheating once along the way, cooling down, and carrying on. That trip is still in her bones.
Then came the remodel. We gutted her to bare metal and rebuilt the interior from the floor up: reclining captain's chairs with leg rests, limo-style chairs on sliding tracks, camel and black diamond-stitched leather, and durable coin flooring. In 2026 she received a full mechanical rebuild — suspension, brakes, timing belt, and cooling — and she now climbs hills that used to slow her down.
Turtle is ready for her next family's adventures.
